The Center for Global and Area Studies' Latin American & Iberian Studies program presents The Colombian Truth Commission - a tense dialogue between transitional justice legacies and the challenges of peace building in Colombia with Diana Marcela Gómez Correal on March 25, 2020, from 4-5:30pm in 103 Gore Hall.
Diana Marcela Gómez Correal is an assistant professor at Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia. She earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina -Chapel Hill. Her current research focuses on transitional justice, peace, gender and feminist studies, social transformation and alternatives to development. Since 2002, she has been part of a variety of women’s and human rights movements in Colombia.
